Braintree for Webasyst Shop-Script is a payment plugin that puts a secure Braintree card form on your own order page. Customers type their card number on your site, pay, and land on your thank-you page — no redirect to another website and no abandoned payments on the way back.

Accept cards directly on your site

The card form is Braintree Drop-in: every card field is served by Braintree inside your page, so card numbers go straight to Braintree and never touch your server. That keeps your store in the simplest PCI scope (SAQ A) while the customer never leaves your checkout. The form follows the storefront language and works on phones as well as desktops.

Refund from the order screen

Open the order in Shop-Script and press Refund — in full or in part, as many times as you need until the whole payment is returned. If the payment has not settled yet, a full refund simply voids it, so the customer is never charged. You do not have to sign in to the Braintree Control Panel.

• Disputes and chargebacks appear in the order history through a signed webhook.
• Connection check on the settings page: see at once whether your keys work and which currencies are available.

Safe by design

The amount is always taken from the order on your server, never from the browser. Each payment form is signed for one order and one total, an order cannot be paid twice, and declined payments show the customer a clear reason — “insufficient funds”, “security code did not match” — instead of a generic error.

Set up in five minutes

Install the plugin, paste your Merchant ID, public key and private key from the Braintree Control Panel, and save. Try it in Sandbox with test card 4111 1111 1111 1111, then switch to Live. Upgrading from version 1.x keeps your keys.

Good to know

You need your own Braintree merchant account. PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay and 3D Secure appear only when they are enabled in that account. Partial refunds become available after Braintree settles the payment, usually within 24 hours.
