Running a server, CCTV recorder, PBX or remote desktop from an office with a dynamic IP? When your ISP changes the address, everything that points at your domain breaks. GoDaddy DNS Updater watches your public IP and rewrites your GoDaddy DNS the moment it changes — no third-party DDNS service, no monthly fee.
How it works
Install it, paste your GoDaddy API token, list the host names to keep updated (@, www, *, home…) and minimise it to the tray. It checks your IP on a schedule you choose and also reacts within seconds when Windows reports a network change.
Before you buy
GoDaddy only opens its DNS API to accounts that meet its eligibility rules (for example 10 or more domains, or a Domain Pro plan). If your account gets a 403 from the API, the app tells you so — check your eligibility first, or ask us.
What you get
- Updates any number of A records in one domain (@, www, *, sub-domains)
- Runs in the system tray and starts with Windows
- Instant re-check when your network or adapter changes
- Optional: keeps the ip4 entry of your SPF record in sync so mail keeps passing
- Supports GoDaddy Personal Access Tokens and classic key:secret API keys
- Token stored encrypted with Windows DPAPI (only your user can read it)
- Skips the API call when nothing changed — no rate-limit trouble
- Plain-text log of every change; one-click “Update now”
