Unpaid orders reserve stock that real buyers can't get and fill your order list with noise. Unpaid Order Auto-Cancel cleans them up on schedule — and gives the customer one more chance to pay before it does.

You set the rules

Cancel after any number of hours. Only the statuses you tick (New by default), only orders that are not paid or authorised, and — if you like — only certain payment methods, so cash-on-delivery orders stay untouched. Orders your staff create in the backend are skipped by default.

Remind first

A few hours before cancelling, the customer can receive an email with the order's payment link. Use the built-in text in the storefront's language or write your own with placeholders for name, order number, total, links and cancel time.

Done the proper way

Orders are cancelled through Shop-Script's own order action, so stock comes back, bonuses and discounts are handled and customer notifications work as usual. Each cancellation and reminder is noted in the order history. It runs from cron, or without cron when someone opens Orders in the backend. When you first switch it on, only new orders are affected unless you choose to include older ones.
