Razorpay for WooCommerce connects your store to your Razorpay account with a small, readable plugin: one settings page, no bundled SDK, and payments, failed tries and refunds written to the order notes.

Every method your Razorpay account offers

The customer pays inside Razorpay's window with UPI, a credit or debit card, netbanking, a wallet or EMI. Payment details never reach your server. After a failed try the window stays open so the customer can simply use another method.

The amount is fixed on your server

Before the window opens the plugin creates a Razorpay order for the exact order total, so the amount cannot be changed in the browser.

Signature checked, then read back

Razorpay signs its answer. The plugin checks that signature with your key secret, then reads the payment back from Razorpay and marks the order paid only when it is captured for this order and its own amount. A payment Razorpay has only authorised is captured by the plugin. An answer with a wrong signature is refused and noted on the order.

Webhooks for customers who close the tab

Add the webhook address from the settings page in your Razorpay dashboard and an order is also completed when the customer closes the browser right after paying. Each webhook is checked by its own signature.

Refunds from the order screen

Press Refund on the order for the full amount or a part of it. The refund goes to Razorpay and back to the method that paid.

Good to know

You need your own Razorpay account (test keys work for trying it out). Works in INR and in the other currencies your account has enabled. Razorpay also publishes a free plugin of its own; this one is for stores that want a lean gateway with support from AllPlugin. Subscriptions, saved cards, payment links and Route are not included. AllPlugin is not affiliated with Razorpay.
