Stax for WooCommerce lets a store that processes cards with Stax (formerly Fattmerchant) take those payments in WooCommerce, on its flat-rate Stax pricing, without a second processor.

Card details never reach your server

The card number and CVV are typed into secure fields that Stax.js loads from Stax. They go straight to Stax, which hands back a one-off payment method. Your server never sees the card, which keeps your PCI scope small.

Charged from your server

The plugin charges that payment method for the order total with your API key and marks the order paid only when Stax says the charge succeeded for the order's own amount. A declined card shows Stax's reason on the form and the customer can try another card without starting again.

Your Stax records stay useful

The order number, subtotal, tax, shipping and line items are sent with each charge, so they appear in Stax Pay and on Stax receipts.

Refunds and voids from the order screen

Press Refund on the order and choose "Refund via Stax". Stax voids a charge that has not settled yet and refunds one that has; partial refunds work once the charge has settled.

Good to know

You need your own Stax Pay account (a sandbox account works for testing), a store in US dollars and HTTPS. The card form is on a payment step after checkout. Authorise-then-capture, saved cards and ACH are not included. AllPlugin is not affiliated with Stax.
